A strong sector in Portsmouth. The city is home to many successful companies in the environmental technologies sector, many supplying the city's marine, aerospace and defence engineering sectors.

A combination of technical skills and test facilities, a coastal environment and a variety of natural resources have led to a strong environmental technologies sector in Portsmouth.

Land Rover Ben Ainslie Racing Team has sustainability at the heart of the team's operations, working with its sustainability partner, 11th Hour Racing who establish strategic partnerships within the sailing and marine communities to promote collaborative, systemic change for the health of the marine environment.

The region has particular strengths in marine pollution control, environmental analysis and consultancy, waste management and water supply.

Pall Corporation is a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation and purification, serving the diverse sustainability needs of its customers across a wide spectrum of industries.

Veolia Environmental Services, the global resource management company and winner of Business in the Community's flagship award, 'Responsible Business of the Year 2016' operates an Energy Recovery Facility in Portsmouth using world-class technology. Trading as Integra South East (Portsmouth), it supplies up to 14MWs of electricity to the National Grid, which is enough for around 20,600 local homes.

Senical Ltd has operated in Portsmouth since 2012, developing 'Smart Fuse' technology to help reduce companies' dependency on natural resources. Their vision is to become a world-leading centre of excellence for invention and innovation.

Clouds Environmental Consultancy specialises in energy and environmental management services, offering practical solutions to enable companies manage their energy and environmental impact.

Fugro EMU Ltd is the largest commercial marine environmental services organisation in the UK, employing around 220 staff with in-depth knowledge of renewables, oil and gas, aggregates, ports, pipelines and water industries.
