Support for local small businesses is vital, and these Awards identified the best small business friendly initiatives undertaken by the region’s local authorities. The City Council was the winner for the most innovative business support programme for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight area

Portsmouth City Council is offering Portsmouth businesses the opportunity to apply for funding from the Workplace Sustainable Travel Fund (WSTF) for physical measures to encourage employees to cycle or walk to the workplace.
